Textile Protection

Are your treatment products safe for fine fabrics and textiles? How about natural fabrics like silk and wool?

Yes. Because we specialize in working with interior designers and their clients, we carefully vet the products we use to ensure they’re safe and effective on a wide range of textiles, including, but not limited to:

  • Silk
  • Linen
  • Velvet
  • Wool
  • Canvas
  • Twill
  • Cotton
  • Leather
  • Cotton/Poly Blends
  • Viscose and Tencel
  • Embellishments (Trim, Applique, Lace, etc.)
How much does it cost?

We strive to offer fair market pricing. Since our goal is to give you quality protection that lasts—rather than just relying on quick, cheap, semi-effective protection—we use the best products and applicators for the job, some of which may cost more than others.

We’re committed to taking great care of you with only the most effective, safest products and knowledgeable, expert, friendly service technicians. Since every job has different needs, please contact us today for a free custom quote.

Can’t I just buy a product like Scotchgard from the hardware store and treat the furniture myself?
Over-the-counter aerosol-canned protection products can end up doing more harm than good. For some fabrics it may cause discoloration or change the texture of the fabric, and has to be reapplied often to maintain protection.

Perhaps the biggest drawback is the residue left behind that actually attracts dust and dirt, causing you to have to clean more often. Worse yet, over the counter DIY solutions contain cancer-causing PFOA and environment-harming fluorocarbons.

Our products, like Fiber ProTector, are safe and effective—they won’t change the texture or color of your textile, repels dust and dirt, and prevents the formation of mold, AND makes cleaning easier over time. See fpamerica.org for more information on the product we use.
How often does it need to be reapplied?
In large part, how long the textile sealant lasts depends on how you care for the item. Using only recommended cleaning products and methods we suggest will leave the sealant intact and as such, is key for maintaining the sealant’s effectiveness. With proper care, you can expect up to 3-5 years of protection with one treatment (other sealants require resealing yearly or more often if cleaned).
Will the treatment change the color or feel of my fabric?
No. One of our primary considerations for a treatment product are colorfast and permeability benefits. The product we use does not alter the color or the feel of textiles it’s used on.
What makes you different from your competitors?

For starters, we provide both textile and hard surface protection, which (unlike other protection services) makes us a one-stop-shop for new builds and renovations. We are also the only protectors to be awarded the EnviroSeal certification. See how we compare.

With proper cleaning techniques, our product does not have to be reapplied after cleaning and lasts up to 3-5 times longer than other sealants when properly cared for. By and large, the goal is to achieve easy spot removal and to reduce the chance of permanent staining which can increase lifespan of your textiles.

We leave detailed care instructions with every job and are available anytime for questions or concerns. Our entire team is carefully curated to be professional, helpful, and knowledgeable—you’re in great hands.

When should I call to schedule service with you?
Ideally, you’ll want any textiles protected prior to any use.

Hard Surface Protection

Do you seal more "delicate" stone like marble?

Yes! We seal tile and grout and a variety of natural stones including, but not limited to:

  • Travertine
  • Granite
  • Marble
  • Limestone
  • Quartzite
  • Flagstone
How does your pricing compare to other hard surface protection services?

As with our textile treatments, we strive to offer fair market pricing. Different surfaces require that we use certain products and applications methods, some of which cost less than others. We are committed to taking great care of you with only the best, safest products and knowledgeable, expert, friendly service technicians.

We do all we can to keep prices within reach without compromising our service experience and results. Because every job has its own unique needs, please contact us today for a free custom quote.

When should I call to schedule service with you?
Ideally, you’ll want your tile and grout, and natural stone protected prior to any use.
We recommend you call us just as soon as you have an install date. We’ll help you determine the soonest your hard surface can be treated (grout requires time to cure prior to treating).
